A Gentle Next Step Into Running
No pressure. No perfection. Just strength, confidence, and community at your pace.
If you’ve been feeling a quiet pull toward running again...or even just wanting to feel strong and confident in your body, this is for you.
This January, I’m piloting two supportive options designed specifically for moms who want guidance without pressure, structure without overwhelm, and encouragement without judgment.
Whether you want strength, at-home support/accountability, or both; you get to choose what fits your season.
Option 1: Get Ready to Run – Strength for Moms
A small-group, virtual strength and mobility series designed to help moms feel strong, stable, and injury-resistant before run training begins.
This is for you if:
-You’re thinking about running a spring race (or just running again someday)
-You want to feel stronger in your core, hips, and legs
-You’re nervous about injury or starting too fast
-You like accountability, but still want it to feel doable
Program Details:
-6-week series
-Tuesdays at 1:00–1:45pm (nap-friendly & recorded)
-Starts mid-January (around MLK week)
-Virtual
-No running required during sessions
-Small group (limited spots)
Investment: $129
Option 2: Very Slow Return to Run (At-Home Coaching)
A gentle, beginner-friendly run/walk program you can do on your own schedule — with guidance and accountability built in.
This is for you if:
-You want to ease back into running slowly and safely
-You need flexibility around naps, childcare, and life
-You feel intimidated by traditional run plans
-You want a plan so you don’t have to overthink it
Program Details:
-8-week program
-Weekly run/walk plan
-Gentle accountability and support
-Designed for moms returning after time off
-This is an 8-week coaching program with 8 progressive levels. Most moms will not complete every level in 8 weeks and that’s intentional. The goal is to build confidence, consistency, and safety — not rush your body.
Investment: $69
The Bundle: Strength + Run
If you want support both in class and between sessions, you can bundle both programs.
Includes:
-Get Ready to Run – Strength for Moms (6 weeks)
-Very Slow Return to Run (8 weeks)
Bundle Investment: $179 (save $19)

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to already be running?
No. The strength series does not include running, and the return-to-run program is designed to start very slowly. Both are great for moms easing back in.
Is this only for FIT4MOM members?
Nope! This program is open to members and non-members.
What if I can’t make every live strength class?
That’s okay. Consistency matters more than perfection, and the at-home return-to-run program can help support you even if you miss a week. Plus we'll be recording class and we'll hold you accountable to getting the session in on with your schedule.
I’m worried about injury / my core / my pace — is this safe?
That’s exactly why this program exists. The focus is on strength, mobility, and gradual progress so running feels better, not harder.
What if this isn’t the right season for me?
That’s completely okay. There’s no pressure to join — you’re always welcome here when it feels right.
What if the program doesn’t have enough participants?
This is a small-group coaching experience and requires a minimum number of participants. If the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be notified at least one week before the start date and can choose a full refund or transfer your payment to another program.
About Leslie (AKA your coach)
Hi! I'm Leslie! With the help of our fabulous run club coach I was able to train up for the Columbus Half Marathon in 2025. Despite doing everything right a previous injury caught up to me during the end of my training. I've spent the last two+ months rehabbing and focusing in on the strength and mobility needed to get back into running. I'm ready to share all that knowledge and walk you through what you need to strengthen and/or how to slowly start your running journey. Worried things will come up as you get started? No worries! I'll use my personal training knowledge to help you build strength were YOU need it. If you are not sure or want to chat please reach out to me at leslierussell@fit4mom.com
